When can I carry out identification?

Identification with a passport can be carried out around the clock.

Identification with an ID card can be carried out from Mon. to Sat. between 08.00 and 22.00 (with the exception of public holidays).

Do I need a smartphone for identification and signature?

Yes, you need a smartphone for identification and signature.

Do I need additional apps for identification and signature?

In most cases, you do not need any additional apps for identification and signature. You only need a chip reader app for identification with a passport using an Android smartphone. This will be suggested to you during the identification process.

Which ID documents are approved for identification?

Here you will find a list of the allowed ID documents for identification.

Can I identify myself with my residence permit?

The residence permit is not a valid identification document. Please use your passport or ID card to identify yourself.

The scanning of my document does not work, although it is on the list of authorized identification documents. What can I do?

If you are sure that your document type (passport, ID card) is on the list, you can try the following:

Improve the lighting, for example by moving close to a window or using an additional lamp.

My passport does not support NFC. What can I do?

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Tap on ‘Passport’ during identification
  2. Tap on ‘Cancel’ during the NFC readout step
  3. Now tap on ‘Skip readout’
  4. Your document will be checked manually.
  5. After a successful check, you can digitally sign your employment contract.

Is it necessary for a person to check the identification?

Manual verification of identification is only necessary if identification was carried out using an ID card.

How long does the manual verification of identification by a person take?

Manual verification of identification by a person takes a maximum of 3 minutes (Mon. to Sat. between 08.00 and 22.00, with the exception of public holidays).

How long is the identification valid?

Identification with a passport is valid for 5 years or until the passport expires.

Identification with an ID card is valid for 2 years or until the ID card expires.

I have changed my smartphone, do I have to re-identify myself?

If you transfer the data from your old smartphone to your new one (e.g. with a backup), no new identification is required.

I have changed my smartphone and don't have a backup, what do I need to do?

If you have already identified yourself on an old device and do not use a backup for data transfer when you start using your new smartphone, please contact us so that we can reset your account.

I have changed my telephone number, do I have to re-identify myself?

No, you do not need to re-identify yourself if you change your telephone number. In this case, please contact Support.

I get a message that something has gone wrong. What can I do?

Copy the URL and reopen the website in the Google Chrome app or switch from the desktop page to the mobile view in your browser. Please try again.

Id it still doesn't work, please try again after some hours.

My smartphone operating system or ID document is not supported for identification and signature. What can I do?

If the identification and signature does not work, proceed as follows:

Print out the contract twice.
Sign both and send them to the following address:
