What are above-tariff wage components on your payslip?

If your hourly wage is above the collectively agreed wage, this is referred to as the above-tariff wage component. We pay this component monthly with your salary and it is shown separately on your payslip.

Why is the above-tariff portion paid in advance?
Part of this above-tariff wage serves as an advance on your future vacation pay. This means you regularly receive a higher wage—even if part of it is credited toward future vacation entitlements.

How does this affect vacation or vacation pay?
When you receive vacation pay, this advance is taken into account accordingly. You will then only receive the difference if your vacation entitlement is higher than the allowance already paid.
