Health insurance

In order to find you a job at jobvalley, we need to know with which public health insurance provider you're insured or want to be insured in case of a job subject to full social security contributions. You can enter this information in the app.

As a student, you will either be covered by student health insurance or your family's plan – please get in touch with your insurance provider to establish how much you are allowed to earn.

First, you’ll need to find out whether you are insured under a statutory or private insurance plan. Please contact your provider if you are not sure.

Statutory health insurance
Select your provider from the drop-down list.

  • Open the app
  • Tap the top-left corner profile icon
  • Scroll down and tap the 'Payroll data' section
  • Tap 'Health insurance' section
  • choose your public insurance company from the list and save
    • If the provider is not in the list, please check if your provider is a public (statutory) or a private insurance company. Please contact your provider if you are not sure.
      • If it is a public (statutory) company, please contact us so that we can update the list.
      • If your provider is a private insurance company, please continue with the steps for private health insurance.

Private health insurance
If you're privately insured, we will need to register you with a statutory insurance provider if you take on a job subject to full social security contributions when working for jobvalley as your private or foreign health insurance cannot pay social contributions in Germany.
You are free to choose which social insurance provider you would like to be registered with in this case. Simply choose your preferred insurance provider from the drop-down list. You will not find your private insurance company in this list.

  • Open the app
  • Tap the top-left corner profile icon
  • Scroll down and tap the 'Payroll data' section
  • Tap 'Health insurance' section
  • Scroll down and tap 'No, not a member'
  • Read the text carefully and tap 'Next' to proceed
  • Either choose 'Techniker Krankenkasse' or any public insurance from the list
  • Tap 'Save' button to proceed
  • And then finally confirm the 'Agree' button to save the insurance
